Edmonton Therapists
I believe that community support is a vital part of a fulfilling and resilient life. I am drawn to counselling so I can be part of the support systems that uplift individuals during life's challenges. I want to offer care and connection in difficult times, and to help people navigate stressors and transitions with compassion and understanding.
I am a Masters level counselling intern who believes in creating a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore change, identity, and healing. My approach is rooted in cultural humility and social justice, and I value humour, curiosity, and authentic connection in the therapy room. I have a special interest in supporting people through life changes that lead to identity exploration.
I work from a client-centred lens. Meaning, I believe that every person has the capacity to heal and change behaviours, but sometimes they need a collaborator in that process. I use Solution-Focused Therapy but take an eclectic approach, integrating the modalities that best fit the needs of the situation to help clients reframe their sense of self and navigate meaningful change.
My previous experience ranges from disability case management to providing volunteer support to people who have experienced sexual violence. I’ve developed a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, active listening, and collaborative work. I aim to support each person’s inherent strengths while honouring the pace and complexity of their healing process.
